Carpets and rugs that have suffered water damage usually need a lot of work done in order to restore their former beauty. If your carpet has been damaged by water, don't panic – call in our professional team who will take care of the problem for you. No matter the extent of the water damage, you can expect your carpet to become as fresh and clean as a new one after a single wash by our experts.
We were able to keep our restoration process multi-layered without causing discomfort in people's homes: you probably won't even need to leave the room while we work, and the carpet will be ready for use immediately afterwards.
We have a carefully thought-out method of dealing with water damage no matter its severity. If you'd like to know more, the general steps involved in our
water damage restoration process are outlined below, although we might need to adapt based on the situation at hand:
The next component in our drying phase is to use dehumidifiers and steamers to remove the moisture from inside the carpet. Although it may seem like a lot of work, there's no skipping this step as it's extremely important: even with the surface being dry, water on the inside can still promote growth of harmful bacteria and cause the carpet to emit an unpleasant odor around the entire home. Therefore, we always go an extra mile to ensure the carpet is completely free from water while taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff during the cleaning stage.
To begin, we identify the source of the leak. We focus on this before taking any further steps – once we've fixed the source, we can move onto the impaired carpet.
After addressing the leak, we're ready to start removing the liquid from the carpet. There are two components to this step: the first is to get rid of the surface moisture – this is usually done using our special carpet cloths and can be accelerated by using fans. We sometimes use industrial-grade fans to remove the need for cleaning cloths – if we do use cloths, we will make sure they are made from a material that your carpet will react well to.
Only when we know that the carpet is completely dry do we move onto the next phase. This stage consists of using chemicals to clean out the carpet thoroughly. The chemicals are mostly sanitizers that kill any mold that may have built up – this is another vitally-important step as even a slight presence of mold can quickly transform into a full-blown fungus infestation.
Finally, we use perfumes to instill a lovely fragrance into your carpet – our wonderful scents are sure to brighten your day whenever you're on the carpet or even just in the room. Once deodorization is done, you can treat your formerly-damaged carpet as brand new.
